Gastric Bypass

A Proven Solution for Weight Loss & Diabetes Control:

With proven long-term success, gastric bypass is a trusted solution for those battling severe obesity and related conditions.

Sleeve Gastrectomy

A Safe, Lasting Weight Loss Solution:
Sleeve gastrectomy is a minimally invasive bariatric surgery that removes a portion of the stomach, reducing hunger hormones and limiting food intake. This leads to sustainable weight loss and significant improvement in diabetes, hypertension, and heart health.
Recognized as one of the most commonly performed weight loss procedures, it offers a safe and effective path toward better health.

Our care goes beyond surgery, offering tailored dietary and nutritional support to ensure long-term success. From personalized pre-surgery plans to post-surgery recovery diets, we guide you every step of the way, emphasizing right nutrition intake and lifestyle changes for sustained results.

Have any questions? We can help you

A: Bariatric surgery is recommended for individuals with a BMI of 35 or higher, or a BMI of 32.5  accompanied by serious weight-related health issues such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, or sleep apnea. Our team conducts thorough evaluations to ensure the procedure is safe and suitable for you.

Laparoscopic surgery, also known as keyhole surgery, is minimally invasive, involving smaller incisions, reduced post-operative pain, quicker recovery, and minimal scarring. Our centre specializes in laparoscopic techniques, ensuring the highest level of precision and care.

All surgical procedures carry some risk, but advancements in technology and our expertise minimize complications. Bariatric and laparoscopic surgeries are now considered very safe, with risks comparable to routine procedures like gallbladder removal.

Bariatric surgery typically requires just a two-day hospital stay. After discharge, you can resume your normal activities and work. The only restriction is related to your diet—you’ll need to follow a liquid diet for the first two weeks. Your dietitian will provide you with the appropriate guidance.

Post-surgery, a high-protein, low-sugar, and low-fat diet is essential. Patients are advised to avoid binge eating, high-carb foods, and sugary beverages. Our dietary specialists work closely with you to develop a sustainable plan tailored to your needs.

Bariatric surgery has been proven to significantly improve or even resolve type 2 diabetes. By altering hormone levels and promoting weight loss, many patients experience better blood sugar control, reduced medication dependency, or full remission.

Yes, bariatric surgery is covered under health insurance in India, as per the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) guidelines.

Several leading health insurers in India, including HDFC Ergo, Star Health, Apollo Munich, and Max Bupa, now offer policies that cover bariatric surgery under their critical illness or comprehensive health plans.
